Video Streaming

My first experience with streaming sports events was back around 2006 when I was involved in the live streaming of a debate on the rules of Judo at the University of Bath.

Since then I have been involved in streaming events around the world.

Initially using Windows Media specific streaming via laptops and usb capture cards technology and expectations have progressed to Youtube and Facebook live video streaming using professional TV hardware and the very popular Newtek Tricaster equipment.

Audio streaming has also been successful and audio and video on demand is popular. Involved in the early days of podcasting; it is now growing in popularity thanks to mobile phone software improvements and increased bandwidth availability.

Live video and audio streaming is now cheap, relatively easy and hugely effective. Athletes, Clubs, Events and federations should be getting involved in sharing their activities online.
